For the two alternate resumes, I asked ChatGPT to look at my original resume and then to review it. It gave me suggestions on where I could already improve the resume and how to. Instead I asked it to focus on Finance and to tailor the alternate versions towards that industry. It gave me the two alternate versions and changed them up from my original. What I could was different about the other two versions is that it gets rids of a lot of the information that isn’t related to work. it prioritizes the skills I have the experience I have and tailored it to a Finance setting. It also got rid or simplified some of the sections like my personal awards & scholarships and my extracurricular activities. It really focused on just the work aspect of the resume and the skills I can bring from that. What I learned from this is that when I ask more specific requests it tailors it to me in the way that I want and it gets a better understanding of what’s being asked to be done.
